Huckabee is too corrupt and desperate sounding. And Cruz is absolutely the worst.

That leaves Santorum.

Probably Huckabee, though I think I would prefer the 2008 model to the 2016 model. In 2008, about 85% of the things he said were obviously super conservative and not my thing, but he made very real points about corporate greed and rejected the sort of knee jerk attack on spending and taxes to fund things like schools. His record in Arkansas was pretty solid for a religious Republican in the deep south, and he was the only Republican during the 2008 campaign who sounded like a human being (the Republican side seemed to range from doom and gloom Giuliani, hopeless McCain, and robotic Romney)

In terms of the rankings from there on out - Santorum at least put together some level of minimum wage fight so I'll give frothy a tiny bit of credit. Cruz is just the worst person ever.

Probably Santorum for having the most tolerable fiscal policy. Cruz is Cruz and Huckabee supports the "Fair" Tax, no thank you. All of them are equally awful on social issues.
