He's the guy that often gets the blame for throwing California to the Democrats (Prop 187), so I doubt a lot of Californian GOP voters are thrilled by him.

He's got an anti-immigrant reputation because of the Prop 187 debacle, so it's possible that could help steal a few voters away from Trump's anti-immigrant camp.

I'm sure that will boost his numbers among Hispanics.

Huh

I thought Wilson was relatively moderate, if not by the standards of the 1990s then at least by the standards of today's Republican Party. Or is this just another sign that we're now truly in a bizzaro world where Cruz has become the Establishment standard-bearer?

Anyway, Kasich has Schwarzenegger's endorsement, which I imagine must be more relevant.

He was last elected in 1994. Califiornia is a pretty different state politically now. I guess slightly more relevant than if Deukmejian decided to endorse.

I'm genuinely surprised Pete Wilson doesn't enthusiastically support Donald Trump. After all, they agree on deporting all immigrants.

So an establishment politician endorses an establishment candidate? Shocking.
