Mixed, freedom site, but it's weird and kind of discouraging seeing so many banned users on a forum. Even the author of Zhirinovsky's Russian Empire is banned for unknown reasons, I can't find anything in his account history that implies drama or a violation of a rule.

People can request to be banned for a duration of their choice, for whatever reason. Think of it like, there was an Atlas poster who was very busy doing very important things and didn't want to get distracted by Atlas. They ask to be banned for, say, three weeks. When this duration of time ends, they are unbanned.
