For a while now, Atlasia has been fighting the War on Drugs. And has it succeeded? Nope. It's been quite costly, yet our prisons are full of people who did nothing up light up a couple of times. I ask you, "Is this a responsible use of money?" I say no, it's not. I propose that marijuana be totally decriminalized, as well as possession of hard drugs. The dealers are who we should go after, not the casual users who hurt no one by shooting up. A portion of the money we save by not going after every user and having to house, feed, and clothe them for years in prison can be put into drug awareness programs, while the rest can be put into the general fund and used for...other projects
. It's time to cut our losses on the War on Drugs and move on. If you make me your president, I will do my best to make this happen.
