Once Trump inevitably knocks Cruz and Kasich from the race, will he tone down his rhetoric or instead will he amp it up?

Literally the exact opposite. LL also predicted a Hillary win in NH and VT being within single digits, IIRC.

it depends what you mean by "toning down" the rhetoric.

he'll probably use less swearing and stuff in his speeches, but his overall message doesn't need changing.
