The Trump moments where he most worries me are those where he gives into conspiracy theories or hires people who believe crazy things as his close advisors.  But I think he's smart enough to really think and explore and verify issues before taking decisive action on them.  Trolling Obama about the birth certificate in a CBS interview is one thing.  I just don't think Trump sees any real consequences to sticking his neck out over something silly like that.  But he's mature and has sound enough judgment to know that using nuclear weapons requires very very serious diligence and expert thought and has tremendous consequences.  If Trump was the kind of irrational risk taker who didn't appreciate the consequences, he would have been run out of business decades ago.

And yes, I know he took some risks in the 80s that didn't pay off and had some casinos that went bankrupt.  This is using nuclear weapons, not buying a luxury yacht.
