She just got out of the way quickly and slid off to the right. It was practiced.

She fell to the side (towards the camera). Because the bottom half of her body is blocked there are no clues as to depth for your brain to work with. (Direct triangulation for your eyes is out because you're looking at a flat picture.) So it looks like she went straight down. It's just an illusion of perspective.
