Hi, guys.

I created this new account because I'm virtually locked out of my original (I'll get into the reasons shortly), but for those of you who knew me, my name is Scott.

Yes, I was the religious lefty kid with the D-CT avatar.  I left this site in late 2014 when I started college, for a number of reasons (I had actually planned on making a subtle exit after my term in fantasyland was ended, but unexpected circumstances led to me f**king off a bit earlier than planned).  And yes, I briefly returned several months afterwards to confront a certain user who had, unbeknownst to me, leaked my Facebook selfies to the IRC and refused to explain why.  So I deleted two popular threads I'd made before my exile.  They weren't particularly useful threads.  Still, I became paranoid to the point that I didn't even want my username showing up on the thread list.  Stalking's bad, kids.

And speaking of stalking, that's pretty much been the story of my past year.  My mom and I bought an apartment in Virginia Beach which was to be our new (at least temporary) home after we sold our house in Connecticut, some time after my dad died in a household accident.  So since then we've been the victims of everything from vandalism to larceny to severe hacking to identity theft to even attempted arson.  Our health hasn't been good; Mom's been dealing with a number of issues that I won't discuss here.  My mental health has deteriorated in ways I hadn't thought possible since my dad died, and physically I've been getting weaker over the past year and a half or so.  Maybe it's because of the depression or something else entirely.  I don't know.  But I'm constantly in some type of pain and I can hardly lift more than a few grocery bags without shaking afterwards.  Yes, I'm seeing a doctor.

The last thing I want is a pity party here, though.  I decided to rejoin mainly out of loneliness and boredom; I had to take this past semester off from college to help my mom around the apartment and assist her in any way I can with what will ultimately turn into a criminal trial.  I'm not supposed to disclose much beyond that what I've already said.  I somehow feel safer talking about the darker elements of my life here than on social media, though.

I'm honestly not sure how long or how frequently I'll be posting here.  I intend to avoid all the drama and BS that goes around here as best I can.  That's why I'm not joining AAD.  Though I already expect I'll be mentioned there now that I'm back; I just don't want to put myself through that.

So, I'll see how things go on here for the time being.  Hopefully I won't live to regret it, too much.

Hey Scott,

I can tell you from personal experience, that depression does impact physical health. Perhaps you will recall, but a few months before you left the site, my Mom's finance passed away. Though not quite as bad as losing someone as close as your situation, I can tell you I experienced a range of effects, all of which were made worse by the fact that our income was shortly thereafter cut off, we had no vehicle and then just before Christmas 2014, we got evicted. Fortunately, I found work just two months prior and we found a place to move to.

On its own it is terrible, but when taken with a whole bunch of stressful problems and so forth the impact is undoubtedly magnified. Seeking medical attention was a a good move, something I was never able to do many of the times I needed it, especially all of the times I needed it mentally.

(I had actually planned on making a subtle exit after my term in fantasyland was ended, but unexpected circumstances led to me f**king off a bit earlier than planned).

We got it back, a full year later. And in four days we lose it again.

Hey, Yankee.  Great to speak with ya again. Smiley

My health situation is kind of a puzzle.  I think there's a slight possibility that my muscle weakness could have something to do with the Lyme disease I contracted in the summer of 2014.  My mom suggested that some of my physical ailments are a sign of Asperger's.  I don't have a damn idea, really.  I'm going in for a psych evaluation at some point, and possibly a physical one if necessary.  The depression certainly isn't making it any better, obviously, nor are the constant med changes I've had.

I do remember you being somewhat idle around that time because of family matters, though, yes.  I'm glad to hear you were able to pick yourself back up.  So much of the stress from episodes like this are a matter of time and uncertainty of what's to come, I think.  I know I'll be out of my current hellhole in about a month, thankfully.  I just don't know how everything else will play out before it happens.

Not if he is locked out of his old one.

Leip can merge the accounts if I recall.

Yeah, I'm pretty much locked out of my old one.  I can't recover my password because my old email address is defunct now.  And it was hacked.

If I recall correctly, 1184AZ made a second account to ask Dave for help after he was locked out

Welcome back. Glad to have you. Smiley

A few things:

-Very sorry to hear about all that you went through. You will be in my prayers.
-That poster who was causing you grief is now banned, so you can relax about having to deal with that. Understandable why you wouldn't want to join AAD then.

Hopefully you can use this place now to relieve some stress. Things will get better.

Thanks, guys. Smiley

I'm not able to send PMs yet (probably have to reach a post number threshold something or other), but in response to someone who asked, Snowstalker was leaking my stuff.  Someone already told me he was banned last year in some final act of "rebellion" that consisted of spamming porn and posting anti-Semitic images or something like that, so now he spends his time trolling the other place.

What a patriot.

In the future you should try avoid having the life of a minor character in a 19th century novel. Because all of that really is that grim. Obviously I hope things become significantly more boring for you in the immediate future and remain so.

As for Snowstalker I suppose you might like to know that he recently complained about the supposed poor quality of debate on AAD, was as a result challenged to a formal debate by Gully... and appears to have bailed already.

Yeah, a lot of us find Snowstalker rather pathetic now. Not long ago, he tried to get a bunch of people from 8chan to flood AAD.
