China is ruled by an illegitimate regime that needs to be put in its place.

Massive election  fraud and destroying all opposition parties at any cost is so legitimate

I meant more that I do not recognize the sovereignty of the PRC, because the legitimate Chinese government is in exile in Taiwan.

Countries are free to be as authoritarian as they wish. I'd argue that China and Russia are not even ready for democracy.

The stupidest thing about Santander's post is as an ex-Soviet official Putin is almost certainly an atheist.

And that the 'bulwark of Christianity' was violently anti-Christian for the better part of the 20th century.
Many nations go through periods of time where state institutions are taken over by radicals, and Russia was only Communist for a relatively short period of time in its long history since Muscovy was declared "Third Rome". Post-Soviet Russia has seen a massive resurgence in the Russian Orthodox Church.

I'm not defending Putin's authoritarian rule, corruption or human rights violations. However, I think in turbulent times like these, I view his defense of Christianity and independent foreign policy as outweighing the many negatives of his regime.

You mean his bullying of basically every other Orthodox nation?

Lean FF, for no going blindly into the, austerity, liberal trap, following whatever the US says. Also for standing up for Russian interests, and not mindlessly being westernized and coeperating with other third world countries.

Really?

In comparison to rapid privatization, following orders of american economists that happend in Yelstin and other people's rule.*

Right, if they hate America, you support them, no matter how horrible they are.  Are you the guy that had good things to say about the Norks?  Are you the guy that thinks Cuba's healthcare is better than the US's?  How do you feel about the Hezzys, Hamas and Iran?  America haters are always Jew haters too (but not the other way 'round, many Jew haters love 'murica).

Norks? North Korea? No that's a country lead by a totalitarian mass despotic ruler. Cuba's healthcare system is good, and better than the US, yes, though not perfect, due to the absence of required rugs, mostly due the blockad3 of capitalist countries I have no idea what hezzy's are, hamas is a terrorist group, whose leaders are murderers, though Bibi and Israel have a lot to blame, and also have a horrible record, both sides are horrible in that context, I support Israel's right to exist, and a Jewish homeland, though it's a shame that the country has been taken over by far-right forces. In Iran, what the US has done to Iran is horrible, and the 1979 Iranian revolution is justified, in opposing the monarchy, a totalitarian state (not that it got replaced by something better, but now it's getting better) controlled by the US, taking Iranian oil. The theocratic state of Iran should definetly be replaced with a vague leftist socialist state.

HP. But that doesn't mean I oppose talks with Russia. Good relations should be useful for both sides.

He's not a role model for TRUMP. TRUMP is much smarter and has more charisma.
