Yeah, 41% is about what Justice will get in the general.

BTW, has he endorsed Clinton yet? If not, he may have to severely distance himself for political survival.

PPP is the one who has Kasich's approval at 45% while everyone else says it's 65%, right?

I wouldn't be surprised if that (or just above) is Justice's ceiling.  Hard to see him lead by that much.  Open seat, WV has been heavily trending Republican, Cole is a strong recruit.  Tilt R for now.

This is one of a handful of states where Trump will unambiguously help relative to R baselines.  I expect Justice to get swamped.  KY House control will be the other interesting thing to watch as to whether there is a Trump bump in Appalachia.
I agree.

My gut says, if he wins the Democratic nomination, he loses to Justice by 54-46, or so.  I think WV will be a rare example of a state where Trump will really help down allot Republicans.

To be fair to Justice (who I expect to horrible for WV if governor) he does actually know coal, unlike Trump, who is an ignorant bloviating buffoon on the subject--like he is on so many subjects.

Justice will win WV in a landslide against #LowEnergy Cole, and will campaign with Trump in a show of bipartisanship and support of the #WhiteWorkingClass Democratic vote for Trump.

It's been done.  Barack Obama steered clear of Indiana and Missouri in the 2012 Presidential race. He lost both states by about 10% -- but the two Democratic Senate nominees won.

Except the Republicans in question were Richard "God intended that to happen" Mourdock and Todd "Legitimate rape" Akin. If the GOP had nominated competent people, McCaskill and Donnelly would have most likely lost.
