Alarmed. One of the two main political parties in this country has decided to nominate a candidate for President who is totally disconnected from reality. I think Trump will lose decisively and perhaps in a landslide in November, and that ultimately benefits my party and my preferred candidate, but it is not a good sign for our country that someone like Trump (an anti-intellectual, a demagogue, an individual with clear authoritarian tendencies, a racist, a sexist, a conspiracy theorist, I could go on all night) is this close to becoming the leader of the free world.

Even more terribly disappointed in the Republican party, even though I thought that could not be possible.

The thought has just gone through my head: "The Republican party is nominating a man WHO TALKED ABOUT THE SIZE OF HIS DICK IN A PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE"

Wistful. I'm looking to see what the future of America will look like.

After at least sixteen consecutive years of Democratic control of the White House?

Go ahead and continue to laugh Trump off libtards. We will see who gets the last laugh.

Trump clinched the nomination due to several convenient overlapping factors: delegate rules that gave him delegates disproportionately relative to his popular vote, a fractured field that also gave him more delegates, his opponents refraining from defining him until it was too late, and a cast of candidates that were just utterly terrible.

Not to mention, the type of support Trump attracts, especially the racists and misogynists, weren't exactly coming out in droves for Democrats anyway.

As appalled as I've been with Trump at times, and despite strong reservations about him, I'm glad that a legitimate populist has emerged as the leader of the Republican Party. Before today, I was leaning Clinton, but now I'm leaning Trump and I expect my support for him to solidify over the coming months.

Both parties have.

GREAT. CorrupTed is gone. Probably the best, best day of the year yet, not just in politics but personally.

I am looking forward to the upcoming GE season, which will lead to Trump losing to Hillary by double digits.

In dark times like these, I find it lifts my spirits to laugh at jokes. One such joke I keep hearing is how a billionaire NY real estate mogul with a long history of prevarication is a populist.
