Call me overconfident, but I don't think Trump has much to lose or gain with his veep selection.  An unpopular GE candidate cannot be matched with a good running mate and win.  At this point, he may as well pick Christie.  If nothing else, Christie's shown that he can debate.

Christie would certainly win any VP debate and he meets all of Trump's criteria. However, it is a high risk pick not choosing someone who can contrast Trump personality and demographic wise. If Christie wasn't a white male, I think he'd be a no-brainer.
