Daniel Hynes from Illinois is the only superdelegate still pledged to Martin O'Malley. He is the former Illinois state Comptroller. He lost to Barack Obama in the 2004 primary for Senate and lost to Pat Quinn in the 2010 primary for Governor.

Huge FF. Props to him for supporting one of the only (former) Democratic candidates that isn't horrible.

I once sat next to Comptroller Hynes at a dinner, and he was a pure delight in person. This plus being O'Malley's only delegate (how did that even happen?) make him nothing short of a FF.

Back when O'Malley was still a candidate, he had the endorsement of California Rep. Eric Swalwell, who is also a superdelegate.

Has he actually said he's still supporting O'Malley, or has he simply not commented since O'Malley dropped out?

It's the latter.

Yes, I am sure he will be the one swing vote that will swing the nomination to Sanders in a brokered convention. FF
