Boring, nondescript guys with glasses are fantastic. They're always trustworthy, hardworking, and never have any secrets to hide. I'm sure Prime Minister Major was the same way.

Maybe we should ask Edwina Currie.

I'm surprised a Conservative prime minister has such a high rating.

This forum has moved to the right over the past year, and Major is perhaps the most inoffensive PM we've had in the last fifty years.

Well, he's not Thatcher.

Major is perhaps the most inoffensive PM we've had in the last fifty years.

This is probably the main reason; the man doesn't generate the venom that Thatcher does for Labour people, or that Blair does for... everyone, quite frankly.

Don't agree with the guys politics at all and although he wasn't as bad as Thatcher he still wasn't a good Prime Minister; but his book on the early years of Cricket is really interesting and personally he seems like a nice enough guy, if rather dull.  I'm rather dull though, and us dull folk need to stick together...
