Ben Sasse continues to be completely incoherent.

If you want an adult candidate, we've already got one.

The reason both the Democrat and Republican fail is that they refuse to live in the real world and work with American citizens to help improve the country. Unfortunately both these parties dominate all forms of government, which has caused them to believe it's only about their respected party superiority over the other party; instead of wanting to "make America great again".

Exactly. Clinton is the mature leader this country needs.

Let's be honest, he's probably only doing this to set up Sasse 2020.

ATTN: Ben Sasse.

Your candidate needs 80,000 signatures in Texas by Monday to get on the ballot.

Monday.

Monday.

Is Texas one of the states where it's easier to make a new party (Texas for Sasse) than it is to get on the ballot strictly as an independent?

What are the rules for write ins in Texas?  Ben Sasse is easier to spell than Lisa Murkowski.

I'm sure that Democrats voted for Trump in my primary cause Indiana is an open primary state. I may fight to get that dealt with via proposing going to a closed primary/caucus

Every state should have a closed caucus.  Party ID makes it so people don't have to be super educated about the candidates in November, but people should get to hear pitches from the candidates' campaigns before voting in a primary where they may not know much about each choice.

If you believe exit polls, Trump would be the presumptive nominee now even if every open primary state so far had been a closed primary.

A write in for a Presidential candidate is pointless because the vote is really for a slate of electors, not the candidate. Write in candidates can't get electors.

Okay, I understand it if you need to take a while to deal with the fact that your party just nominated Donald Trump, but this has reached conspiracy theory level by now.

A write in for a Presidential candidate is pointless because the vote is really for a slate of electors, not the candidate. Write in candidates can't get electors.

Most states allow "certified write-in candidacies", i.e. ones that failed to qualify for the ballot because of too few signatures or filing too late, but who has a slate of electors and will have their votes counted. The only difference between such a candidate and one who qualifies for the ballot is that they won't be listed and voters have to take the initiative to write them in.
