Does this forum completely fail to understand working class whites?

To actually answer the question, I think that this forum fails to understand that, like any other group, they're not a monolith, and aren't only found in ultra #populist counties like Macomb, Michigan. Even coastal elitist cities like Seattle, San Francisco, and New York have plenty of working class whites.

I cannot possibly imagine you being a productive member of any "team" I could imagine.  Especially a work-related team.

I think that's right, but I also think that a few of those people activated by Trump's racism can be won back with better campaigning, and that overall the Trump "WWC" is less worth thinking about than the infrequently voting/nonvoter WWC (and nonwhites in the same category for that matter).

Based on the age of the forum, I'd say the over-18 section of forum isn't super-rich.

I don't know many white working class people, and try to avoid them when I can, but it wouldn't surprise me if Atlas were as clueless about them as they are about my people.

The former, excluding people still in school.

After all, much of the "working class" isn't poor, or even lower middle class.
