Does this forum completely fail to understand working class whites?

A lot of 2016 board posts operate under the assumption that every working class white is a raging racist, and most that vote for Democrats do so only because they don't believe the Republicans are racist enough, and are just waiting for the most blatantly racist candidate since after the civil rights era* to finally jump over to the Republicans, and there's no way any white that doesn't have a college degree can't be disgusted by racism and juvenile sexist rhetoric. As someone pointed out if you follow this logic then the best way for the Republicans to max out their white support is to become an out and out neo-Nazi party.

*Even more hysterically, many of these posters at the same time also believe this same candidate will win 20-30% of the black vote.

There are a lot of things young upper class white dudes from the coasts fail to understand.  Yes, working class whites is one of them.  Hell, work and class are things that elude them too.

In fairness, most people on here are absolutely horrible at understanding most demographics; as I once pointed out, there is no tolerance for those not adhering to the stereotypes of the groups down to its voting record. Downright terrifying worldview, and I'm no individualist.

To be perhaps a bit more fair and balanced, of course working class whites are diverse, just as upper middle class whites are, or Asians, or any other cohort of folks. Politics is about working the margins however, and the issue is just how much, if any, of an uptick Trump will get with working class whites, and where, vis a vis say what Romney managed to secure, along with turnout levels. If anybody is suggesting that most working class whites are bigots, or ignorant, or stupid, or losers, or whatever, then I doubt they really know many working class whites on a personal level, and very badly need to get out more. Or move to Hudson, where you can, and will, meet folks from all walks of life, up close and personal!
