Watch as Trump declares Palin his VP choice for her show of loyalty.

Ryan needs to retire in 2018/2020 if he wants to run for President in 2024. No incumbent Speaker will win the nomination and definitely not the general.

The momentum is definitely on Nehlen's side. Paul Ryan is going to lose his congressional seat to a Trumpian nationalist. This is almost too perfect.

Yes, I'm sure a Cruz>50 district is going to turn out a long-time congressional incumbent in a House primary for the crime of being anti-Trump.

Watching WI-1 vote Hillary/Ryan in the fall is going to be fun.

I look forward to posting VosemsTears.jpg again when the voters tell Ryan to pack his bags.

it was mentioned on a.a.d. that the primary has perfect conditions for very, very low turnout, so don't be so quick to make a prediction

For once I applaud Sarah Palin! And beyond his own congressional seat, such an effort in opposition to him would likely dramatically damage him in the eyes of national GOP voters, the majority of whom obviously do not share his sentiment. If he is perceived as standing in Trump's way, that's bad news beyond his little area of Wisconsin.

If someone had some brains they would try to coordinate with Democrats in his district to have them vote against him in the primary, ala Cantor 2014.

Yup. The longer he's in the job, the more it'll damage him, as it becomes clear that he can't really wrangle recalcitrant members any better than Boehner could.

They voted Obama/Ryan last time, even with Ryan in the VP slot.

Low turnout favors cruz types, so unless they turn on  ryan for not voting down some bill he will be fine.

The sooner the GOP realizes that its base is crazy, the sooner this will happen. Look at how much money they had to spend in 2014 just to ensure that a repeat of 2010 wouldn't happen. Sad but pathetic that the GOP has to fight its own voters in order to remain a viable party. A part of me does feel about an ounce of sympathy for Paul Ryan because he does seem like the kind of guy who genuinely does want to make government work; his problem is that he belongs to the party that DOESN'T want the government to work.

And can't put a coherent sentence together. That these things are related is alarming.

"Shes" an icon in a fringe of the party.
