I'm really hoping that WV keeps its trend of never picking my choice for president. If Sanders wins here, it'll look bad for him, and it would hurt my pride. LET'S GO, HILLDAWG! COME FROM BEHIND WIN IN WV!!

Apparently turnout is high in Charleston, but early and absentee voting was also quite high. Come on, time for a CLINTON UPSET!

As benchmark has said, any turnout is good for Sanders. West Virginia is just a great fit for him demographically.

I can still hope that ancestral Democrats will bring it home for HILLDAWG!

Stop. Not every Democrat in states you don't like is a racist, pro-Slavery Dixiecrat. I live in North Carolina for God's sake, does that automatically mark me as a member of the bathroom police?

No, but Obama didn't fail to win 60% of the vote in an uncontested primary in North Carolina. I'm sure there are intelligent, reasonable people in West Virginia, but I'd rather not have a Sanders win in West Virginia as a blemish on his record or mine.

So...why is Nebraska holding a beauty contest when we already have Bernie with the W there?

Because some state parties seem to like throwing money out the window. Washington is holding one too.

If the early exit info is accurate, Clinton is going to be vaporized.

Do you have any links?

Ummm....

9% of Clinton voters would back Trump over Clinton
39% of Sanders voters would back Trump over Sanders

Looks like we may have some Trump supporters causing shenanigans in WV.

Huh? Are you sure that's not a typo, and that it shouldn't be 9% of Clinton voters backing Trump over Sanders and 39% of Sanders voters backing Trump over Clinton?

Only 27% of voters want to continue Obama's policies. Ouch.

Well, the exits had Sanders only losing NY by 4, so maybe Hillary still has a chance! Cheesy

I hope this bodes well for Sanders in Kentucky

If Sanders wins by as much as the exit polls are suggesting, I'd definitely re-evaluate Kentucky, at the least.

Turnout is higher on the Democratic side. Where's ExtremeRepublican to tell us that this means WV is Lean D in the GE?

It shows up on Google. Of course, that's with a grand total of 26 votes cast so far.

Nebraska:

Clinton 10835 (61.26%)
Sanders 6851 (38.74%)

All early vote, I think?

Sanders' campaign is such a joke. His entire campaign strategy was to win places where the vast majority of the electorate is disenfranchised (caucuses) or by tacitly appealing to racists and misogynists (OK & WV.) And to top it all off he still lost in a landslide! Hope it was worth it to him represent the party's vilest elements! Good use of 100 million dollars!

Them tears sure are salty..

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it looks as if West Virginia is yours.  Smiley

I'm still holding out hope that Charleston comes through for her...

Why should his campaign worry about a beauty contest?

If he loses the Nebraska primary, it might bode poorly for the South Dakota primary.

Possibly, but that won't be a beauty contest, and Sanders will likely invest in South Dakota, while Clinton will probably ignore it.

Yes! These were the only two states I wanted Hillary to lose. I'm so happy. Smiley

Mississippi? Alabama?

Those states are hellholes, but in a Democratic primary it's the base of the party that is voting. No problems there.

No issues with Kentucky?

You should have reacted like that when Sanders won freaking New Hampshire.

And yeah, Clinton will KY.

Interesting that you mock us for not being big fans of WV, considering how you treat NH. I'm glad Sanders won NH, it definitely flew in the face of part of your "theory." Tongue

I wouldn't be so sure about KY. Clinton will do well in western KY, but eastern KY could be good for Sanders. Clinton's 50-48 win among registered Democrats in WV doesn't indicate a strong advantage going into KY.
