TRUMP already has security detail following him around. There's nothing in the constitution saying the president has to live in the white house; tradition is not law.

I think she'll be a very stylish First Lady. Probably in a Jackie Kennedy sort of way. They'll live there but travel to Mar-a-Lago alot like Obama and Clinton did Martha's Vineyard and Reagan and Bush had the Ranch.

I think the good scenario is Trump is forced to dole out high-level posts in his administration to competent Republicans in order to get the GOP backing he needs to win the Presidency.

Majorie Merriweather Post originally donated Mar-a-Lago to the government to be used as a presidential retreat so Trump would merely be carrying out her legacy.

They will have to live in the White House because it has all necessary government communications. Trump can rebuild it to add a floor but it is very unlikely as he will have  no time and this is a historic building. Their mode of life will change drastically and nobody (including themselves)  knows how it will affect them.

Yeah. Trump and his Mrs. will have to slum it a while in public housing. And the secret service will always be worrying about providing good protection, so I think he'd spend a good chunk of time at the White House. That said, as others have mentioned, there's nothing that requires him to be there, and I imagine he'd still spend a lot of time at his properties.
