This would be a great issue for conservatives to rediscover the value of civil society and social convention finding solutions on.
It certainly would, but how does it happen when the federal government is forcing a solution?
Has social convention not been precluded, at least when it comes to public schools?
We have a system now where in any local institution with government funding, any sort of disagreement becomes a federal issue for litigation, rather than one in which people come to some sort of informal arrangement.
