Iowa and New Hampshire are both treated like the pinnacles of American democracy when in fact they're just a bunch of racist old white people with no lives.

Notice how the media hardly mentions them at any other time, though.

Well yes, but the media still hasn't realized that anything exists in this country outside Boston/New York/Philadelphia/DC and Hollywood.

Of course. Didn't you know that disliking certain states is now misogynistic as well? Young men on Atlas told me so.
It's not disliking New Hampshire that's misogynistic. It's your reasons that are. Calling New Hampshire sexist for not electing a man as Governor or Senator since 2010, then not calling Mississippi sexist for not electing a woman as Representative, Senator, or Governor at all comes off pretty misogynistic.

When was the last time MS Democrats nominated a woman, though?

That sounds like an even better argument for MS being sexist. BOTH parties are sexist!

Anyway, to actually answer the question, it depends on what you mean by "disliking." There's a big difference between "I'm not a fan of Colorado; I wouldn't want to live there" and "I hate everyone from Colorado."

LOL. But remember: The GOP needs to become socially liberal and fiscally conservative to win NH again. Live free or die!

The fact that you claimed Shaheen is the Democratic equivalent of Mike Lee and Jeff Sessions shows that you know next to nothing about New Hampshire.

That's just it. Mississippi is so sexist that women can't even be nominated for, let alone elected to, Congress. Most recent of those who lost primaries (and their % in the primary):
House: Trish Causey, D-04, 2014 (44%).
Senate: Catherine Starr, D, 2006 (14%).
Governor: Vicki Slater, D (30%) & Valerie Short, D (19%), 2015.

Lost to Clinton by only 2.6%, and went on to defeat McCain by better margins than Shaheen defeated Sununu in '08? How horrible!

States with open primaries are generally full of partisan Independents by default.

When the media gushes over New Hampshire, it's never about the state. It's about its primary. If coverage of a state's process of voting for who should win the nomination is considered being praised as the best place on earth, then Iowa must be even worse than New Hampshire. (Reasonable, but not off of your keyboard)

If you mean the people of the state, then yes.  If you mean the state itself, then no.

New Hampshire isn't open primary, it's semi-closed.

Are you adding IA and NH to the list of things you're an expert on, along with race relations?  Keep the knowledge comin', guy.

Which creates even more of an incentive to be an independent.

Which state do you hate more? IA or NH?

Probably NH.  At least Iowa has cool ethnic enclaves and the Driftless Area.  NH is just a post-genocidal wasteland of hippies and Massholes.

Glad I'm not the only one on the forum who hates NH. Smiley

To be fair "post-genocidal" describes pretty much all of the US.

No. Not even if you specifically hate the people from there.

I, for example, have never met a person from Ohio that I liked.

I tend to like states that are warmer. For example Pennsylvania lately has been too cold in the winter for some reason. States out west have mountains and less humidity. As far as race goes there is only one race, the human race. Why divide it over a superficial reason like skin color or ethnic background?
