WV may be the better state overall, bu Charleston is not the reason.

Whereas Charleston, SC is easily the best part of South Carolina.

WV, definitely. I have family ties there, and I would enjoy it more than Charleston, SC due to that. I could live in either one, of course.

Are you sure? because a quick google search finds the opposite. For instance, here (1st is Charleston, South Carolina and 2nd one is Charleston, West Virginia





Of course I don't now how official it is and it ends in 2014, so if you have official sources it would be nice
