All this nitpicking and nagging really is pointless since this race has been mathematically over since Super Tuesday. It's really been done since South Carolina.

Obviously Hillary is almost certainly going to be the nominee, butHillary people seem to want to stick it to Bernie people, and assume that they'll vote for her. Hell no!

Good. If the Democrats don't want to have a Donald Trump in their hands then they ought to purge the party from left-wing nuts like you, just like the Republicans did in the 60's with the Birchers.

You can't take away our power, because WE DON'T HAVE ANY!!!!!!

Who is this we you keep referring to?

Thank God for that.

Like I said, Lyndon, making the Democratic Party a centrist party would be a very bad idea for a number of reasons.

That's just as bad of an idea as Jfern's ludicrous 'all liberal all the time' beliefs.

What all liberal all the time beliefs? Bernie actually got some endorsements from people who aren't remotely liberal, such as Rep. Collin Peterson.

I wasn't talking about Sanders' political ideology, Jfern. I was talking about yours.

Well, obvious a liberal wants lots of liberal politicians, but there are limits to these things. However, I never would have thought a candidate who talked about how great democratic socialism was would end up with 45% of the pledged delegates. I mean, if I was Bernie, I'd stay clear of the word socialist, and might not mention Scandinavia as often. Maybe occasionally mention Iceland.

So, according to Jon Ralston most Sanders "delegates" were denied seating because they weren't registered Democrats.
Clearly the fix was in by those devious $hillary hacks and David Brock.

Ugh just let it end. I don't care anymore, Clinton's the nominee. I supported Sanders because I genuinely think he's a good guy and believes what he says, but it's over and Clinton won. I'm guessing the other Sanders supporters like me left and now support Clinton, so the more rabid ones remain in places like /r/sandersforpresident and aren't ready to give up yet. Accepting defeat is an important lesson in humility, and I hope for the sake of the country that these people come to terms with the situation of reality before November.

You have basically summed up how I have been feeling this entire primary.

Welp, now my facebook is blowing up about this.  AND it's at the top of Facebook Trending.  This is how the delusion happens, folks.  Get a bunch of left-wing blogs* to post hyperbolic language and outright lies, and say the media is biased and ignoring or lying about what happened.  Then a whole bunch of Bernie fans will share it all over facebook and work themselves up into a tizzy repeating the lies and hyperbole while adding their own.  The peer pressure and groupthink takes hold and soon enough everyone believes!  And the miserable fantasy world lives on.

*actually some of these sources are more mainstream right-wing sources like The Daily Caller.  They're stirring the pot to help damage Hillary and the Bernie people are falling for it hook, line and sinker.

Why would any delegates even be registered as independents?  You need to be a registered Democrat to vote in the caucuses in the first place.

They're just dumb.  Most of the 64 weren't even real delegates -- they "couldn't find their address or phone number in the list of registered delegates" or something like that... what I want to know is why Bernie would have had as many or more delegates than Hillary if some part of the 64 had been allowed in.  Did some of Hillary's people just not show up?

Obviously they weren't delegates. They were just random Sanders supporters (it wouldn't surprise me if they were out of state) that tried to crash the convention in order to inflate his numbers.

It's presumably due to the mess at the Clark County convention last month, where indeed more Sanders than Hillary people showed up.

The number of delegates at these conventions is pretty insane; the number of registered voters per delegate (which is written into state law, I believe) is ridiculously low, so there are always going to be people who don't show up.  And when they do, the conventions are almost guaranteed to be a mess.

This is why Sanders needs to drop out before Philly, honestly. If he goes into Philly looking for a floor fight, he's both going to lose, badly, while possibly causing serious harm to the Democratic Party during the convention. We can't have Bernie cultists screaming  you at Nancy Pelosi in prime time.

I assume he will.  Once we have the final primary, Sanders will probably give a rah-rah speech, go home to Vermont, have a bowl of matzo ball soup and endorse Hillary.

I won't scream at Nancy Pelosi, but I can't promise I won't scream that at DWS!

^^^Well it's nice to know there'll be at least one Bernie delegate at the DNC who isn't a crazy person.

And now it's the front page of RCP.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2016/05/15/sanders_supporters_immediately_question_yeasnays_she_passed_it_before_we_even_said_no.html

The reporting is just a copy of what the Sanders supporter says in his video.  They claim she closed the convention without allowing adequate time for the nays to shout.  Even though the second video posted clearly shows that she allowed just as much time for the nays as she did for the ayes.

The comments are full of Sanders supporters and Trump supporters agreeing that the democratic party is dead and Clinton is a fascist and they will get their revenge in November.

What actually happened be damned!  Not sure what they hoped to accomplish by preventing the convention from closing.  Apparently she was rushing due to the casino hurrying to kick them all out because the Bernie people were getting too violent and it was close to a riot.  So much irony.

This is American politics today.  Lies just become truth by being repeated over and over and over until everyone believes them without checking on the facts.  Even if one lie is proven to be a lie, if you just tell enough lies then you can say "where there's smoke there's fire, there wouldn't be this many 'suspicious incidents' if there weren't some truth behind it."  This is the story of the Clintons' career so I'm sure it doesn't faze Hillary.  But it's very irritating to the rest of us nonetheless.

I wouldn't pay it any mind. The fact that Sanders himself hasn't come out and cried foul/threatened a lawsuit means this will probably be ignored outside of the hardcore Sanders group. The protest outside of the Nevada DNC office was pretty small today and some of the speakers were downright painful to listen to("Hillary won't be viable in Oregon but it won't matter anyway because she'll be indicted soon"). To be honest, im getting more Ron Paul 2012 reminders than revolution.

Good job protesters, that'll show em.

Thank you Jon Ralston for keeping us up to date.

Also apparently the protest moved to the Bellagio to get more coverage.

I guess all the Bernie Supporters will sip crybaby soup and go support Jill "Nuclear Power is the Devil" Stein, while Trump licks his lips and packs his suitcase to move into the Oval Office.
