All the prominent Never Trump people involved and have done some groundwork, but haven't found a candidate. Only one who hasn't completely ruled it out is Coburn. Needless to say, last time something like this was done, rebels controlled ballot access where they needed it.

The last 48 hours ensured the conservative media establishment, long the preserve of neoconservative and neoliberal media, will be outright hostile to this effort, branding it from the beginning as ceding the White House to Hillary and the Supreme Court for a generation. I must say, the timing of the release of that list of judges following several rosy polls bolsters Trump's competitiveness argument and also gives him a powerful wedge in the Supreme Court.

The nimble navigator just outmanuevered Kristol and Romney.

With NeverTrump sadly seeming to be going down in flames, what are the odds of a principled social conservative candidate? (On the Constitution Party ticket maybe?) Or has this put paid to that too?

There's been rumors that David Koch will be supporting the libertarian nominee.

I'm embarrassed that Rick Wilson is wasting his time with this. He's too smart for this. I think his creepy Twitter girlfriend Louise Mensch dragged him into it.

The Never Trump movement is always a dollar short and a day late. During the primaries they needed to pick one of Kasich or Rubio before Super Tuesday and go all in, but instead they really didn't get their act together until Wisconsin and so by then they reluctantly backed Cruz.  I think the same thing will happen this time, they will try to find a 3rd party candidate but in the end they wont and will reluctantly back Gary Johnson. But like the Never Trumpers during the primary, it will be disorganized, underfunded and in general, pointless.

Given that Cruz had 500+ delegates? We picked the right man.

Also, why would I vote Romney now, when I didn't go for him in 2012?
