I think he most likely will. Its a pretty polar opposite situation with Clinton and Orange County, CA.

TRUMP will narrowly win Elliot County and Clinton will narrowly win Orange County. What an historic election.

Maybe when Clinton will win one of those conservative Michigan counties that's never voted Democratic ever.

At least the OC voted for FDR

I mean maybe it's like how John Kerry won Alpine County in 2004, but I'm gonna doubt it.

Yes, I doubt Wall Street identity politics is their thing.

It has heavily trended Republican in the last few elections, and Romney narrowly lost it, plus Trump is a great fit for that region, so I think he will.

I voted no, but I'm not sure. I think both candidates are good fits for the county.

A New York billionaire isn't exactly a good fit for Elliott County.

I'll be optimistic and say no, Elliot County will continue its Democratic streak.

This is from an older article, but..

Elliott may not stay true to the Democratic Party much longer, however.

Should Hillary Clinton run in 2016, locals said they’re confident that she’ll sweep the county, and possibly the state.

“She is one of the Democrats who in my opinion can bring the South back to the Democrats,” Rocky Adkins asserted. “I believe that with all of my heart.”

“If Hillary runs for president,” John Clevenger said, “she’ll sweep this county.”

I'll form a better opinion after tomorrow's primary results, but if she wins the county by margins similar to her 2008 shellacking of Obama (she hammered him 90-7 percent in the county) in this area of the state, then I'm pretty sure she'll carry it in November against Trump. If it's closer or if for some God forsaken reason Bernie wins it, then it'll probably flip to Trumpet.

Clinton didn't lose eastern Kentucky in the primary by nearly the margins she lost in southern West Virginia. This whole "war on coal" lie that the Far Right keeps pushing might be starting to backfire, if it hasn't already.

Sanders's strong win there last night now makes me think it's more likely than not.

...I guess it is like Alpine County's vote for Kerry after being barely R from '88-on.

So...

Obama loses it 90-7 in the primary...he still wins it in the general.

Hillary loses it 53-36...and she has no shot?
