Reddit is a joke tier website and /r/SandersForPresident is full of people who are less intelligent than your average human so of course the people there say stupid stuff regularly.

Write in: this is not a good thread. Many people who voted for Sanders were not going to vote for Clinton in the first place, so he is not hurting her. You should be reaching out to Sanders supporters and not alienating them, but that simple fact seems to escape you.

Sanders has already said he doesn't want Trump to win and that he will support Clinton if she is the nominee.

It should be clear that most Sanders supporters are going to vote for Clinton, no matter how much her supporters continue to attack him.

As to the specific idea of a third party run for Sanders: two points first it is too late, second there is already a candidate that Sanders supporters can vote for, Jill Stein. I don't think that she is going to win, so what's the point?

Literally no third party candidate has won since.... basically ever, unless you consider the old Republicans in 1860 to be a third party. Third parties haven't even won non-faithless elector electoral votes since George Wallace, IIRC.

If you actually think Bernie can pull off something no one else has ever been able to do, you're a little deluded.
