Depends on how big and how successful.  I'm sure ISIL will try something to help get Trump elected, but it would have to be something on the scale of Paris rather than Boston to have any measurable effect, and even that would be offset by the retaking of Mosul and/or Raqqa, assuming that happens before the election.

Nah. They could just try to kill him and fail. I'll be half-surprised if he doesn't stage such an attack himself.

Yes. As has been pointed out for a while, TrumpMiller is far closer to Mussolini than Hitler.  (Of course, even Mussolini and Hitler served in their nations' militaries, unlike the cowardly, draft-dodging Republican nominee.)
