As a Clinton supporter, it annoys/concerns me how much rural and Conservative Democrats have abandoned her in Appalachia. Why would they vote for a socialist anyway? They don't agree with his policies certainly.

It's the anti-establishment vote, they certainly don't support Sanders actual policies.

4.5k voting for O'Malley? I mean, I get voting for a protest protest candidate, but voting wasting a vote on O'Malley?

Huffpo shows that most of the precincts still out are in counties Hillary is leading in (including Jefferson).  It looks like a done deal.

Sanderistas are getting big woodies for Trump right now because he'll " Clinton and CNN hard" and that "Blacks are screwing us over". Real progressives right there folks!

This has been a feature for most of the primary.

Am I wrong for thinking this is something of an upset for Clinton - I mean, Sanders won West Virginia by 15 points!

If you apply the Vox/Salon etc filter to it, winning a state you really should have won based on common sense is an upset, see the coverage of Sanders winning Indiana.

Do you seriously think Sanders should've won Indiana? It was over 10% black and has a decent urban population

Yes. I thought Clinton had momentum, and could have just eeeked out a win, but being an open primary in a still very white state, he had the upper hand.

I am not sure this is over yet. What is left in Jefferson? Will it go for Clinton?

It's done.

Hmmm- the story of tonight seems to be underperformance by the favorite. I expected a 3-5 point Clinton win in KY and a 10-15% win for Sanders in OR. Fascinating.

At this point looks like a Bernie sweep of Oregon counties

How?  Currently, Clinton is winning Washington, Clackamas, Jefferson and Deschutes, and Tilamook is a tie.

And Benton is barely 60-40

Bernie: Trump seeks to delegitimize the President!
Crowd: BOOO!!!
Bernie: Now let me say something to the leadership of the Democratic Party!
Crowd: BOOO!!!

Well the default response to anything non-Bernie is "boo"

Looks like we're at the "mail in lull." Like I said earlier in the thread, WA was stuck at ~50% reporting for most of the night in 2010. Is the same gonna happen here?
Shame because the late ballots will favour Sanders. Hopefully I wake up to a 10pt margin and county sweep in the morning.

Ew...that's nasty Wink

Entering in the current seven point margin into the demrace.com calculator puts the delegate allocation at 33 Sanders, 28 Clinton.

This puts his needed % in California to 70.001%. He also now needs 60% in New Jersey, 63% in New Mexico, and 53% in Puerto Rico. This is in addition to denying Hillary viability in MT, SD, and ND, and holding her to 64% in the Virgin Islands and 70% in DC.

rly

Sanders's speech tonight involved no "tone-down" whatsoever. He said catching up in pledged delegates was difficult, but possible.
I wonder if he actually believes that.

No, he just needs his supporters to believe the lie so that they keep sending him money and he can keep paying his campaign managers and consultants.

That's it. This race is all about CA, it's an extremely expensive place to run in and he needs a decent result to maximise his impact in Philadelphia.
