Because Johnson has a lock on the Presidential nomination, and it's extremely likely he'll win the VP nomination.

But this is actually really good for the Libertarians - both people on their ticket are former office holders.

I can't find out much about him. He is pro-life, though, so I doubt Johnson would endorse him too readily. Someone like Mike Gravel or Bob Barr are his best bets for former office holders. Otherwise, I'd suggest Carl Person or Sam Sloan to add some more gravitas to the ticket.

He also mentioned that he met Johnson, and he's supporting him for the Presidential nomination. So I asked:

I guess that Johnson leaked his preferred running mate to Bentivolio, and it wasn't Bentivolio. My guess is that Johnson intends to either endorse Alicia Dearn, or get Jim Gray to run again.

Instead, it will include photographer Judd Weiss (McAfee's running mate), Muslim activist Will Coley (Perry's running mate), ballot access attorney Alicia Dearn (a Johnson ally and potential running mate), and another guy named Larry Sharpe who I don't know.
