Judging from his list, my guess is that Trump Googled "court of appeals judges appointed by bush", made a list, and asked his advisers to fill in the empty spaces.

Justice Larsen is an interesting one... she was just recently appointed to the Michigan Supreme Court by Snyder. She's up for her confirmation election this November.

He's pretty clearly tossing a bone to the establishment with that list. Not what I'd be looking for, but neither is Garland. And hard to tell what Hillary's picks would be - I could see a 60 year-old in the mold of Kennedy or a minority female "SJW" about my age. But very transparent of him to produce a list and say, "This is the direction I'm going." Most politicians just wouldn't, instead opting for the evasive non-answers they have down to a science, so at least he did this.
