I wouldn't say being within single digits in TN is polling badly, even if it is a junk poll.

I think there's less polarization state by state.  Remember that Clinton is only down by like three in Arizona and Georgia.

Hillary isn't polling badly at all; she's leading nationally by 3 points at the height of her opponents nomination-clenching surge, with a very large proportion of undecided/neither voters being Sandernistas that are likely to come around in the end.

Unlikable candidate who is getting hit on multiple fronts meanwhile Trump is getting a party unity surge.

When battleground states like Georgia and Arizona are talked about I would argue that she isn't polling badly at all.

This.

I read that 75% of Bernie backers intend to vote for Hillary if she is the nominee. 25% will probably drop out.

There is really little validity comparing Hillary's numbers to Trump's numbers at this time. Wait until she has the backing of her entire party like Trump has. That's more realistic.

Arguably Trump has been narrowing his polling gap for over a month now. Him becoming the presumptive nominee + Hillary engaged in a two front contest with him and a stubborn, confused old man who is stirring up his supporters against Hillary is going to have an effect on her polling.

However, I think that her numbers will increase again once she wraps up the nomination and begins unifying the party, and also when her Super PAC begins seriously dumping attack ads one after the other. I think they just started a few days ago with a $6 million ad-buy in various battleground states. I don't have background on exactly why Trump's polls dropped so heavily from March - End of April, but that timing does coincide with the #NeverTrump's 40 - 60+ million dollar ad blitz against him, so think what you will regarding that.

Also, it's not like he wasn't polling close before as well. He was within the margin of error quite a bit in the Fall - up to March 1st.

Trump still doesn't have the backing of his entire party.
These polls don't mean a thing, except that they are showing that Trump is in the process of uniting the party behind him.

1)

2)
Because she's a terrible, unlikeable candidate.
3)
Trump is actually a likable person, even if you DO NOT like him.
4)
Trump is systematically destroying the democrats built in media advantage.
5)
Trump is not a doctrinaire Republican or Conservative.  He breaks from party and ideology on a few issues to take 'Nationalist' positions.  This is splintering off sections of the democrat coalition and bringing new people into politics.
6)
Hillary Clinton has not articulated a legitimate reason for her campaign.
7)
Clinton fatigue is real.  Who wants these people around?  They have become more brazen in their criminality and scandals than they were before.

Like in democratic strongholds such as New Jersey etc?

Only a small minority actually wants her to be president.

Fortunately for her/unfortunately for the country, it's true of who she'll face as well.

That is actually an example of him being "likable, EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM"
A hack reporter attacks unprofessionally and Trump defends himself by hitting back...  impolitely, but effectively.  Off the cuff, without a filter, with some humor... You may not like, but it is likable.

Contrast, the humorless shrill robotic cyborg that lacks any ability to connect with an actual human being named Hillary Rodham

Because nobody likes her except for old women, blacks, rich people, and a handful of other people who would probably even vote for Walter Mondale if the Convention surprises and nominates him against all expectations.

That would be me. I'm an old black female who is rich, and all my friends are rich. We all love Hillary! Life is good.
