Everyone still likes to talk about the possibility of a Hillary indictment; what happens if it's the other way around? Trump always likes to excuse his lack of tax forms on being constantly audited; let's say they find something and indict him for tax evasion. What effect does it have on his supporters? On the GOP nomination and barely-supportive party members? On the election it general?

If that happens, Congrats, President Hillary Clinton!

Or what about his fraud trial coming up in San Diego 3 weeks after the election?

Or the fraud trial coming up in New York that hasn't a date set yet? What might happen in those arenas?

It would be unlikely for an indictment to come out of an audit. The fact that he is working with the IRS on it shows good faith so the most likely bad result for him would be fines, not a criminal indictment. I suspect one of the reasons he doesnt want to reveal his taxes is it may reveal how much he has paid in backtax and fines in previous years, showing how much he has pushed the envelope to pay as little as possible.  That being said, I still think it is amazing that his own admission that he has been audited every year for the last decade doesn't get more scrutiny. Sure, everyone hates the IRS, but that is a serious red flag. They don't audit people year after year just for the kicks, they do it to people who have underpaid their taxes.

With regards to the fraud trial, that is a civil suit, so worst case he loses and pays some money. There is no criminal proceeding.

An indictment of Trump means America can take one massive sigh of relief.

Being found guilty in several fraud trials would make "President Trump" a FRAUD. Who wants that for a President?

Bernie Sanders becomes the GOP nominee, obvs.

What if Hillary gets indicted too?!?!

Discuss with maps. Is it possible for both candidates to win Staten Island?

Indicted? Seriously?

There's not even a suggestion of that. The Trump University "fraud" action is a civil action. No one is seriously suggesting tax evasion.

Yup, both seem like they'd just cost him money, and wouldn't count as anything criminal.
