DWS's district voted 69-30 Clinton so I doubt that Sanders' endorsement will make much difference, especially since his most ardent supporters won't even show up to vote.
It's just more evidence that he is a sore loser.

It probably won't.This race is in a state, county and congressional district in which Sanders lost by a huge margin. His endorsement means very little.

A fair point, but if Canova won by some miracle, I'd be completely overjoyed.

If you like DWS, you're either a Republican, a completely shameless extreme Hillbot, or completely delusional.

Shes been pretty incompetent this primary season and the past couple of election cycles, I admit. However its unfathomable to me as a democrat that Sanders would go directly against the president and democratic leaders like this. There is no winning here. Not only will Canova not win, but Sanders hurts himself and his reputation with the party. Why do this?

Hes only 74 years old and hes apparently not super wealthy which means he'll be serving for quite a bit longer, why damage his future with the party like this?

I'm begrudgingly for Canova, but honestly, it's more of a lesser of two evils than any liking of Canova. Canova strikes me as a wacky Alan Grayson type.

He is so angry and bitter that he doesn't think straight.
Plus he isn't a Democrat so he doesn't feel any loyalty to the party.

He still caucuses with them.

Lyndon, you're the one who couldn't handle the fact that I didn't like your posts, and therefore spread conspiracy theories of me being a sockpuppet of a forum member who I don't have very much in common with, despite huge amounts of evidence to the contrary. But I feel like the irony here is simply lost on you.

Because if you don't caucus with a party you are completely ineffective in the senate.

I'd rather be an ineffective independent than an effective partisan held by party's money and special interests with a primary challenge becoming more and more successful with each little time you disagree.

Riddle me this, Lyndon. What color is your avatar? Because I seriously doubt you're an 'independent' in any way, shape, or form.

Don't know much about Canova, but DWS losing would be no less than what she deserves.

I'm in both camps. I hope Canova wins, but at the same time I think Bernie is being a total crybaby.

Massive sour grapes, given that Sanders has virtually no influence here.

A fair point, but if Canova won by some miracle, I'd be completely overjoyed.

If you like DWS, you're either a Republican, a completely shameless extreme Hillbot, or completely delusional.

I don't think anybody here particularly likes her, but we're also politically realistic for the most part.  I'd love Jim Inhofe to lose reelection, but that ain't gonna happen any time soon, even if he had a primary opponent endorsed by, say, John Kasich.
