DWS's district voted 69-30 Clinton so I doubt that Sanders' endorsement will make much difference, especially since his most ardent supporters won't even show up to vote.
It's just more evidence that he is a sore loser.

Hes only 74 years old and hes apparently not super wealthy which means he'll be serving for quite a bit longer, why damage his future with the party like this?

He is so angry and bitter that he doesn't think straight.

Because if you don't caucus with a party you are completely ineffective in the senate.
