Johnson/Weld is a freedom ticket. McAfee is crazy and Petersen will garner a whole 0.5% if nominated.

Libertarianism is basically the right-wing of the fairly immediate future (within the next 15 years, I think). I would say FF to all but McAfee, whose background strikes me as a bit crazy person-ish. Petersen should become a Republican politician; we need exactly his type in our party.

Weld is the only one remotely close to me on the issues and I only like McAfee as a personality. Petersen is the worst, can't stand his cheesy bumper sticker quips or cartoonish persona. Gary Johnson is just socially awkward, which is ok

Yeah man, this not being able to tell other people what to do stuff just sucks, right?

The problem with so-called libertarianism is that it's grounded in an uncritical devotion to the constitution, and also the belief that our current state of "crony capitalism" is somehow an aberration from "free-market capitalism."  The reality is that structures of power have no reason not to use the government as a vehicle to further consolidate their power.  As long as there is a state to protect private property, there will be crony capitalism.  No easing of governmental regulations, which seems to be their answer to everything, would prevent that from being the case; in fact, it makes things worse.  A perfect illustration of their ignorance is when, in the last libertarian debate, Austin Peterson said that he wants to "build a wall between corporation and state."  The problem with this idea is that corporations are fundamentally creatures of the state; without the state, there would be no corporation.  They are unable to be separated.

Libertarians' regard of the constituion as a sort of religious document is a more curious case, since it failed to prevent the government from growing to where it is today.  I think it would be more consistent to the ideology for them to want to scrap it and start over so that it would cirucumscribe the government's authority a little more stringently.

All HP except Austin Petersen. Two standard liberals (Johnson and Weld) and one crank gadfly (McAfee). Petersen is the only one with any pretense that his philosophy would actually be better for society.

"HP/FF/HP/FF" is a weirdly popular option at the moment, does anybody who picked that want to explain it? McAfee and Weld good, but Johnson and Petersen bad?

Uh, no they aren't. Unless you're using European definitions instead of American definitions for some reason.

Anyways, I genuinely like McAfee. Johnson has no social skills, and Petersen isn't even really a libertarian.

FF/FF/HP/FF.

I like Johnson and Weld, though I wish Johnson picked a more ideological libertarian as VP. Though if Weld was the max in both experience and libertarian(ish) positions, than I am fine with him. McAfee is an absolute delight, and I'm amazed his campaign isn't getting more media attention for it's craziness. Peterson is the candidate of the cucks, so HP.

Anyways, I genuinely like McAfee. Johnson has no social skills, and Petersen isn't even really a libertarian.
He has gotten worse. I met him in 2012, and I wouldn't say he was any more boring or awkward than, say, Tim Pawlenty (who I also met that year) whereas this time around he makes me cringe at points.

McAfee is probably not a good person, but he's a goof. I'll vote Hilarious Person.

Petersen is the worst. He's Erick Erickson's imagination of a libertarian with Ted Cruz's smugness. HP.

Weld is the best.

Johnson is Johnson.
