Please, not Castro.

In the twenty first century, the Vice President has to be someone who can take over the Presidency and be able to carry out the duties of President competently and credibly.

Castro is a light weight, and is simply not prepared to become President.

The Vice Presidency in this day and age is simply too important to be determined by tokenism.

If Clinton wants to go hard left, pick this guy. He would whip up a lot of anger on the right with his commentary.

Still predicting Kaine, still hoping for Kaine, hasn't changed since 2014.

Logically she'd probably go with Kaine (swing state and whatnot). However she doesn't really NEED Virginia, and Elizabeth Warren has been trying to work her magic to get progressives to flock to Hillary.

I don't think Castro has enough name recognition outside of the party to do well as a VP pick.

This isn't my prediction, but I'm starting to like Tom Perez as VP.

I agree, it's also how I feel about Sherrod Brown.

I'd go with Warren. The base would be ecstatic and she's a great attack dog. Sure, you lose a senate seat for 90-days until MA elects another Democrat; But, the reaction to seeing those two powerful women together was impressive.

I've liked him for VP for a while now. He seems like a good fit in terms of helping appease liberals but also a wink and a nod to Hispanics.

The other choices seem unpalatable - Castro has virtually no experience and he isn't nearly ready to handle the duties as POTUS, should that come. Kaine would have to give up his VA Senate seat, which is not safe in a 2017 off-year election. Warren has numerous issues that many have already written about, and Brown would endanger any possible Senate majority. Perez just seems like a good middle ground here.

I think it will be Tim Kaine, but Elizabeth Warren is also a possibility.

I basicly agree. But I think we won't have a succeeding Vice President (through acension under the 25th amendment, not elected like Poppy Bush) for the next time. The last one was in 1974. The chances for a president to die in office are much lower than they were fifty plus years ago.

But even if one subscribes to your statement, that is still no reason to pick someone who is obviously totally unqualified to assume the Presidency should that become necessary.
