THE FEDERALIST PARTY OF ATLASIA
The Party of Freedom
The Party of the Constitution
The Party of Market Competition
est. November 22, 2012

Built with Atlasian Capitalism

Our Calling:
The Federalist Party believes that individuals, not the government, can make the best decisions. We stand for a federalist system of government built on strong checks and balances to protect people from tyranny. We therefore stand for the rights of regions, and oppose attempts by the federal government to infringe on their rights. We stand for reforms that strengthen and revitalize regions, as well as the game as a whole. We believe that all individuals are equal and entitled to equal rights, with a government strong enough to protect freedom, but too weak to jeopardize it. We stand for market based economic approaches to promote general prosperity and, in conjuction with policies to strengthen hard working families and improve education, address societal ills, like pressing economic inequalities. The Federalist Party stands for an Atlasia that welcomes participants, both new and old, and values their contributions to game.

What Unites Us

And this is exactly what I'd like to propose to my fellow Federalist: to join not only under the banner of the Federalist Party, but also under a uniting idea we can all agree on: Federalism. The idea that we may have different personal views, but we know the proper role of the federal government, which is keeping the country united, help regions enforce individual rights and represent them in the international community.

This is my humble proposal: let's put our differences aside and join together under the idea we all share: a small federal government and stronger regions.

Directing that passion, I determined that we should illustrate just how committed the nation is to polices that advance both the middle and working classes together. An education policy that doesn't fail our kids, a tax code that encourages investment and entrepreneurship whilst still covering our bills, a healthcare policy that provides the potential for a range of options if a region chooses to take that path. A reasonable minimum wage policy that doesn't balloon inflation as it seeks its futile quest to be a magic bullet to put everyone in the middle class, investments in technology and infrastructure that will advance the economy, and finally yes, a good range of safe guards and even the presence of unions and co-ops to protect workers and provide further choices in what is presently a monopoly with bad service.

Chairman Yankee is surrounded by reporters on his way out of the Federalist HQ

I just want to say first off, that I want to thank all those who have voted so far and encourage everyone else to get out and vote if you have not done so. I want to stress that this election is far from over, and while I am greatly pleased with the results so far, this election has plenty of time and plenty of remaining votes. If you are a conservative, if you are a libertarian, if you are moderate, even if you are a liberal or even a socialist who desires a change and a different direction, please go out and vote for Leinad/Lumine.

Thank you!

Yankee walks away from the reporters.

Chairman NC Yankee approaches the reporters.

As good as it looks now, this election is not ever once again and I encourage people to get out and vote. With that said, I am cautiously optimisic at this point and have great confidence that with the many votes we have remaining, we should be victorious.

On another more pressing matter, last night I responded forcefully to the court case that has been brought against the election process. In 2012 Presidential Election, Napoleon beat Clarence by a good margin. I had supported Clarence and he is a great guy, but the voters choose otherwise. After the election, Tweed, who had run a third party candidacy, sued to have himself insalled as President. In spite of my support for Clarence, I supported Napoleon in the case because Napoleon was the duly elected President by a wide majority of the people. Nothing could be more damaging than for a presidential election to be tossed out wholesale, in any situation.

This goes doubly so in our present situation where we are in the middle of a reform transition and face the prospect of a leaderless interlude, in which the country will be without a President and will lack the means to elect a President, if the voters are not respected. I understand fully the need to follow the laws and it is my understanding that the certification will be conducted by appropriate official with all laws followed and applied fairly and appropriately, certifying forwith the winner of this election as President. Furthermore in the limited roll provided by Tmthforu94, sanctioned by the administration in an emergency situation, to ensure the integrity of the democratic process and the election of a President before said interlude could begin, I see no legitimate reason to risk the reforms, the game, as well as the sanctity of the vote on the basis of the concerns presented by the Plaintiff in this case.

The actions taken are sanctioned by the administation, by Elections Administrator Rpryor, by The People's House, by the Senate (he was elected by the Senate to be its leader and clearly would be elected in any vote by its membership, making it furthermore ridiculous to use the lack of a such as a grounds to trample on democracy and throw the reforms in the garbage in the process), and by two broad grants of constitutional authority. The constitution delegates broad powers pertaining to the administration of elections to the Congress and second provides no limitation or requirements on Presidential appointments to non-cabinet posts, which he has broad powers to create at will.

I am the lamented demon of Atlasian Legalism according to the radicals who spent years claiming my legalism destroyed the game. My legalism, was always aimed at preserving the system, preserving the rights of voters as well as equal protection under the law. None of the actions taken have disenfranchised or discriminated against anyone. On the contrary it has enfranchised all the people to vote. Lastly, the implementation of the reset means that standing requirements might have returned in which case only the candidates have standing to sue.

I want to thank Truman for his statements on this matter, which were a bit more measured than mine clearly, but of course I came off an ardous shift at work at the time. As usual, Truman proves to be a voice of reason, and while I cannot support him in this election, I have full confidence that whoever wins this vote and whoever comes out on top, it is the best thing for Atlasia, that they be certified as the winner and allowed to take office on Friday. For the sake of the game, for the sake of stability, for the sake of the reforms, for the sake of the voters and democracy and yes especially for the sake of the law.

I will now take a few questions from the reporters

Hey all,

Just wanted to briefly introduce myself.  I go by the name "Andrew Jacobs" on these boards, but those who know me well IRL call me "Matty B".  I am a Constitutional Conservative from Connecticut....try to say THAT ten times fast, LOL.  I believe in mimimal government interference, free markets, and traditional values such as hard work and honesty.  Other interests of mine include music, radio, and online DJing (catch my music streams when I'm actually doing them).  I'm very happy to be here...let's make a difference.  Smiley

BTW, what are the ideals of "The Coolidge Society" ? I assume the main position is that "the business of America (and Atlasia) is business".

Its a "Conservatarian Organization" founded by JCL. He has been its leader but it has not been active as much this year as it was in 2014 and mid last year if memory serves me.

JCL would be the best one to contazt about getting involved with it.
