It would be funny if he joined Bob McDonnell in the same jail cell.

Then maybe your Governors shouldn't be so corrupt. This didn't come quick enough.

To those who don't want to read the article: the investigation is over a large campaign donation given by a Chinese national (A member of the Chinese government in fact). This would only be illegal if the donor did not have a green card, which the McAuliffe camp says he did

If the Chinese national had a green card at the time of the donation: McAuliffe is in the clear.
No green card: McAuliffe is in trouble.

One would think this would be a fairly straightforward matter to clear up and not take a whole year of investigation.

This really doesn't look like anything.

Someone just leaked something without much context to give him bad press.

Maybe the 2013 VA governors' race was meant to be a preview of the 2016 election: a horrible, corrupt Democrat gets elected because the Republicans managed to nominate someone even worse despite multiple opportunities not to.

And then that horrible corrupt Democrat performs better than most people on the left expected, while Republicans spend the entire term fighting every single thing the corrupt Democrat does?

The kind of comment you'd find on a Yahoo News comment section.

I want to point out that Hillary extremists hacks are apparently  running the Atlas forum.  This thread/story should be in the 2016 presidential section.   It has Clinton foundation corruption all over it.   It was moved here to bury it.

No green card: McAuliffe is in trouble.

Also depends on the circumstances of the green card. McAuliffe and Hillary Clinton's brother had a racket selling EB-5 Investor Visas a while back through some sham car company. An inspector general for the Feds agreed that there was at least one seemingly improper instance of the State Department intervening in one of these visa cases on behalf of McAuliffe-Rodham. If somehow these two are related ...

Fine by me.  Then the Biden/Warren ticket nominated at the Dem convention after Clinton drops out and releases her delegates will beat Trump 56/41 instead of the the close Clinton/Trump race we are staring down now!

So much wrong with this post. For one thing, you're kidding yourself if you think Biden would waltz to victory. He's faced even less attacks and scrutiny than Bernie has.

Secondly, nominating someone who didn't receive a single vote would tear the party asunder and essentially hand Trump the keys to the White House.

This election season seems to be stirring up a lot of confusion and mistrust. There are remedies for this, so there is no reason to suffer. I recommend picking up an adult-sized AlexJones-Tech reinforced tinfoil hat from Walmart.

Hillary extremist hacks aside, I think the McAuliffe news is a good thing. Why? Because many have been wondering what has been taking so long with this FBI investigation, and I think the answer that will eventually present itself is that there are a number of threads to this investigation, not all of which involve the mishandling of emails. I'm beginning to think the inquiries into the Clinton Foundation might prove much more problematic to Hillary Clinton and her campaign.

They moved this off the 2016 board? McAuliffe did invite the donor to Hillary's private residence, and he gave $2 million to the Clinton Foundation, so anyone but a Hillary hack can see that it's related to the Presidential election.
