http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/05/why-bernies-bros-might-go-for-trump-213915

History shows us that when disenchantment with establishment politics and institutions is high, as it is today, voters don’t always vote along ideological lines.....

Any thoguht folks?

From all that I've read, the young Bernie fans are behind him regardless of party affiliation. It's Bernie and his ideals they align with. So it's possible they could vote for Trump, but it's also possible that I have ocean front property to sell in Iowa. Some will vote for Trump, but if Bernie does his duty and advocates that he and Hillary have more in common than not, Bernie's Bros and Sisters will come around to Hillary by 75%. (An estimate I read.)

Some will, like in every election, but very few, and according to polling fewer will defect for Trump than Clinton voters would - which makes sense, because Sanders voters are farther to the left than Clinton voters.  This is typical fluffy headline grabbing crap from politico.

Also, you can't compare that era to today, where voters are much less elastic and there is a much larger ideological distance between the parties.

The vast majority of Bernie supporters and Bernie voters will vote for Hillary.

But the Berniebros? Would not surprise me at all to see them support Trump. Berniebro havens like Reddit openly discuss the possibility, and sometimes even seem enthusiastic about it.

My FB feed is full of items from otherwise reasonable friends who post "memes" saying things like "Trump and Hillary are on the same side." It's quite disconcerting.
