There is no bigger coward then Donald Trump. Hardly shocking he made this decision.

Everyone here thought this debate would happen except me who said Trump would dodge.

I didn't think it would happen, Trump is a poor debater and Bernie would have had nothing to lose.

You are right. Trump is a poor debater, in fact, he's a poor speaker altogether. He talks like a child.

So, Clinton said she didn't believe it was going to happen yesterday. Does she get credit for being right?

Someone calls his bluff and then he wusses out. Typical Trump.

Of course not. If anything the dead-enders will accuse her of conspiring with her buddy the Donald to make Sanders look bad.

BTW, LOL at Trump's statement which is hilariously overwrought even by his standards.
McCain's statement where he said after Obama clinched that he was anointed the Democratic nominee by TV pundits and superdelegates seems restrained.

It's a fairly smart strategy. Why bother debating the guy who won't be the nominee? If Trump performed well against Bernie or came out even, it would've just given Bernie extra publicity. If Trump performed poorly he would've looked like a complete fool losing to a guy who's already lost.

I disagree. I don't think the point would've been Trump vs. Bernie. The point would've been two people going after Hillary.

Told you so.  Trump was playing the media for extra coverage.  It worked because once again drowned out any Hillary positive coverage she might have gotten.  For example Hillary met with Treyvons mom to dispute Trump's NRA speech notice it got no press.  You never heard her refute of Donalds claim that she wants to abolish the 2nd amendment.  So now that claim he made sticks.  It's a masterpiece to watch the Trump campaign.

Hillary has not been getting any positive coverage the past few days, lmao.

I thank him and Bernie for somewhat diluting the media's endless shrieking about emails though.

Obamas apologizing today in Japan got more press coverage than Hillary  ( other than her damn emails )

Heck a protester in San Diego right now could get more press.

I do not understand how anybody with a brain can say Hillary Clinton is stealing the election. She has more votes and more pledge delegates than Bernie Sanders. More votes equals a win unless you're talking about the 2000 election. Which is apparently what Bernie Sanders wants since he continues to talk about undemocratic things like convincing superdelegates to change their mind. But that doesn't surprise me because Bernie Sanders is not a Democratic politician. He is a socialist independent.

Coward Trump. Since when did he start caring about being appropriate? I actually think this could have potentially worked against him. While Sanders clearly has differences against Clinton, I think he would have defended her against Trump.

The Reddit Bros are going ballistic over this. I guess Trump just lost their vote. Great news for Jill Stein, who rises from 0.3% to 0.35%.

Wow, so now both Trump and Hillary have reneged on promises to have a California debate with Bernie.

Trump suckered Sanders with no remorse here. The last shred of Sanders' dignity is destroyed and the only way he gets it back is to drop out and forcefully support Hillary on or very soon after June 7

Bernie shouldn't support either of these renegers.

Hi jfern. Is Jane Sanders still looking for those tax returns?

His house isn't enormous or anything, it can't be that hard to find the shoebox they're in.

Trump was never serious in the first place. Just par for the course. Keep your name in lights, doesn't matter how.

Just because Trump is too chicken to debate Bernie doesn't mean he'd be too chicken to debate Hillary. That might be the other way around. Trump only debates people can he can beat.

I mean... he has to debate Hillary in the fall... that's how these things work, jfern. They've both won their party's nominations.
