Trump is a weak bitch who would have gotten clowned and he knows it, so he ran away.

Hillary will destroy him in any remotely well-adjudicated debate.

My bet is that Trump will try his utmost to open the debate up to third party candidates. The less time he has to get buttonholed and demonstrate his idiocy, the better for him. He may even bail on the debates (claiming the RNC agreed to them, not him) if it's one on one vs Clinton or anyone else.
