And people were calling Sam Wang at the Princeton Election Consortium crazy for insisting Trump could get over 1400 delegates.

What a sad day for conservatives and the GOP.

The fact that he gets such strong support from people who call themselves supporters of the Tea Party agenda shows how corrupted that's gotten in the last 6 years, too.

Last I checked, a few days ago,  he still needed about 80 or 90 delegates.  Was there a primary or caucus recently that put him over the top?

Uncommitted delegates from ND and other states put announced they would vote for him at the convention.

According to the AP delegate tracker Clinton is now 74 short.
https://interactives.ap.org/2016/delegate-tracker/

This brings up the chance that maybe Clinton could go over the top by June 6th if more supers get added. I don't think it will happen but at the very least she will need maybe around 30 delegates by the morning of June 7th.

Interesting, thanks!
I wonder how Hugh Hewitt and his absolutely positive prediction that the convention would be open and contested are doing today.  Hewitt was also predicting that delegates would be hiding in their hotel rooms during the 1st ballot.  It wouldn't be so bad, but Hewitt was patting himself on the back and calling himself Nostrodamus for his accurate predictions.

Trump is a conservative, but not a "small government" conservative.  He's redefining "conservatism".  In the process, he's exposed the facts that many of "the base" are not "conservatives" in the Ted Cruz mold.

About time. He's run a phenomenal campaign based on bucking the system from social media and his own status as opposed to being a polished lackey saying what he is supposed to say when he is supposed to say it.
