Someone posted something that made me remember Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. In it, post-earth human forces land on a new planet and are divided into seven factions.

Gaia's Stepdaughers, a radical environmentalist group, are led by Lady Deirdre Skye of Scotland.
The Human Hive, a group of collectivist, authoritarian communists, are led by Chairman Sheng-Ji Yang, who Wikipedia refers to as a "Chinese Legalist".
University of Planet is led by Prokhor Zakharov, an academician. The University's goal is the acquisition of knowledge, even at the expense of traditional human rights and liberties. Wikipedia refers to it as "technological utopianism".
CEO Nwabudike Morgan of Namibia sits at the head of Morgan Industries, which, rather expectedly, seeks to maximize profit, commerce, and the market.
The Spartan Federation, a military survivalist group, is led by Colonel Corzon Santiago.
The American Sister Miriam Godwinson leads the Lord's Believers, of Christian fame.
Commissioner Pravin Lal is an Indian surgeon leading the Peacekeeping Forces trying to stay true to the Charter of the United Nations.

All are rather absolutist in terms of worldview and enforced policies. How does the forum break down?

I always played peacekeepers and preferred a diplomatic ending but I thought Godwinson was the most eloquent for her view. She was the absolute worst in-game though.
