This is drama-filled!  At least we got a contested convention (of sorts).

Damn. Looks like it should be close between Weld and Sharpe. Advantage Weld.

I think Dearn, if she speaks on the floor, will endorse Weld. She seemed pro-Weld in her own speech.

Bummer. Another 5 months of John McAfee would have been delightful.

That guy is like, the most interesting guy in the world - way better than that fakeass beer commercial guy.

If I'm going to listen to people talk about crazy sh**t during these libertarian events, I'd much rather have it be charismatic hilarious McAfee than bland lame dork Gary Johnson.

Agreed. Gary Johnson makes the even the most frighteningly insane ideas seem incredibly dull. McAfee had the opposite effect and it was so much more fun!

No, he's not. He's trying to use his national prestige to advance the LP.

He won't and hopefully the Anti-Weld forces unite around Sharpe to kick this guy to the curb. He brings nothing to the ticket except make the LP look like the GOP-lite.

Seeing how many people moved to Johnson on the second ballot, I predict the same will happen to Weld.  I don't see why anyone would have voted for Weld after hearing all those anti-Weld speeches and then switch away from him.  Sharpe doesn't have anything to offer and Johnson is obviously firmly on Weld's side.

My thoughts as well. I predict their being an equallly sized swing to Weld that Johnson received.

Weld is a bit concerning for me. He's only a VP, but he said he had a good relationship with the Clintons, he's super low energy, doesn't want to go on offense on anything. It's pretty clear that this is an attempt of desperation, that he's really pretending to be a libertarian, and that Johnson is using him for the purpose of gaining a higher profile.

No, the actor for Draco Malfoy who attended the convention.

EXACTLY this. I just hope the delegates get smart and unite behind Sharpe as he's probably the only one who can beat Weld.

I don't get why people are upset with Weld when Petersen wanted to make the party pro-life.

The convention has fallen to pieces since Sarwark handed off the gavel to Dr. Lark. No order at all, bordering on a Trump rally.

Johnson's pretty damn low-energy too and probably had a good relationship with the Clintons since he was governor during Bill's second term.

If the Libertarians go on offense they'll just irritate everyone.  What they need to do is let Hillary and Trump tear each other apart and promote themselves as a viable third option.
