With it being Johnson/Weld I fully expect the Libertarian Party to nab at least Nader-like numbers in 2016. New Mexico and Alaska will likely be their strongest states.

VERY unhappy that Weld is the VP, but I guess I will begrudgingly support the ticket still.

This is a preliminary map, it may have some errors:

If this were a vote in the Electoral College, Sharpe would have 262, Weld would have 242, and ties would have 34.

That makes me positive that I will not support a Libertarian this year. Vote Trump!!!!

Good, we don't need you.
He's just as pissy as you are over Weld lol. Maybe they don't need you either.

Yeah, but I can still unify behind the ticket.

Yeah, but I can still unify behind the ticket.

Wouldn't the same logic apply more so to you and Trump, considering Trump actually has, you know, a chance at winning?

I have way too many objections to Trump, there would be no way in hell I would ever vote for him.

That is weird, isn't it too late to do anything about it though? Is is possible that they all just talked to each other and agreed to support Weld? It seems many other states voted as blocs as well.

Could be, but you have to admit that this is at least a bit suspicious.

Really proud of this party for picking Weld. If Clinton does something intolerable, like picking Warren, they have my vote.

Ugh. I'm backing Trump too, but the Libertarian ticket actually is decent this year. Weld is more conservative and more libertarian (the two are not exclusive) than Peterson, Cruz, and co.

how is Weld a conservative?

Fantastic, looks like my vote for 2016 is set.

Don't be premature, Bill Kristol might have a bombshell in the wings.  Or, he might just be blowing smoke:

Maybe he's backing Johnson/Weld? Doubtful given their social positions, but a man can hope.

I've heard a lot about the new Johnson/Weld ticket reaching out to conservative/Republican donors and voters. Will there also be a push to attract liberal/Democratic donors and voters? Hillary isn't exactly the most popular nominee her party has ever produced.

Guess I missed all the "fun".  Naked moron should stay home next time.  I figured Johnson was going to win, he was getting all the press from outside and inside the party.  Plus, with the rumors of buying hotel rooms for delegates and Koch bro money, it was pretty much rigged for him.

That said, it probably is the most "viable" to the normal people though that 5% I predicted is probably right where he'll land.  A man like McAfee could've gone viral (heh) at some moment, or maybe not. I rather take the risk then settle for a marginal increase. I'll still vote the ticket however just because there really isn't a better choice now.

It's sad that the LP now openly supports candidates who are not even Libertarian. What has this world become?
Same thing happened to the GOP, and, if you give it enough time, the Dems could be next.

It's sad that the Republican nominee was a liberal democrat as of 7 years ago - that's likely worse imo Tongue

They haven't done so since 2004.
