Is Petersen one of the "personally pro-life politically pro-choice" people, or full-blown pro-life? A read through his Facebook posts strongly suggests he believes partial birth abortion should be illegal, and he did say that he doesn't support allowing the doctor to try alternative procedures (like crushing the skull) when an abortion fails to work. But I haven't heard him give a specific position  (i.e. last 10 weeks, last 20 weeks) to what period of time he'd like abortion to be illegal in. He completely dodged this question during the Fox Business Debate.

This convention has been nothing but bad news for the McAfee campaign so far. He has a poor performance in the preliminary debate and places a distant 4th in the straw poll. Then his running mate has a poor performance in the preliminary VP debate and doesn't even make the main debate. Now rumor is McAfee is struggling to get enough tokens for the main debate, while Johnson, Petersen, and Perry are having no trouble.

Go Perry! Would love to see an atlas user on a televised debate! (8 EST tonight, cspan)

The following are viable enough to have nomination speeches: Johnson, Perry, McAfee, Petersen, Feldman, (Kevin) Mccormick  (!)

Just got done watching the debate online as I was unable to watch it live.(http://www.c-span.org/video/?409916-1/libertarian-party-holds-presidential-debate) Johnson and Petersen seemed to do the best. Perry and Feldman had good moments but were not the winner. McAfee never really impressed me.

I think Johnson gets this, but after multiple ballots, and he might not get Weld.

And why are these godless commies having a convention on Sunday morning?

For those who don't know: Perry's folks want the party to remain irrevelant, Petersen's folks believe a "real libertarian" can win the white house.

Really proud of this party for picking Weld. If Clinton does something intolerable, like picking Warren, they have my vote.

I continue to struggle to understand this party. I thought the purpose of this party was to preserve personal freedoms as long as they don't increase the risk of harm to other people. Yet, the party goes full moron and anarchist and boos driver's licenses even though they probably keep a handful of unqualified drivers off of the road to stop deadly crashes. That's what I would consider a risk of harm to other people. Meanwhile, hurr durr, governments want to issue drivers licenses for control. This was completely disappointing.

Their line of thinking is that by the government requiring a license, they are simply presuming that harm will happen, not reacting to harm that has happened, and that is wrong to them. Sure, once the incident has happened, go in there and arrest, do whatever you need to do. But don't bet against the driver when they haven't done anything yet.

It's a completely stupid position. But it's what the non-Johnson wing thinks.
