I might swing by on my way up to Tally tomorrow. Oddly enough, one of my best friends is at a comic book/anime convention in the same hotel. I've stayed there before, it's a nice place. Not extremely pricy but it's no dump.

Bold prediction: Even if Johnson gets the nomination, he will not get his VP pick.

I suspect a compromise nominee will enter-Bentivolio dropped out to back Weld, but in the end, I think he might end up on the ticket after all.

At a rest stop in Wildwood, driving home to Tally. Decided to skip the convention at last minute after I missed my exit in Orlando this morning. I missed the first ballot anyway. Should've left last night and just crashed at my buddies place. Of well.

Ugh. I'm backing Trump too, but the Libertarian ticket actually is decent this year. Weld is more conservative and more libertarian (the two are not exclusive) than Peterson, Cruz, and co.

I'm so glad I'm in the GOP today. The Libertarians are too whiny. They literally booed the very mention of Ron Paul at their '12 convention.

Really?  I thought he was, like, a demigod of the Libertarian Party.

Apparently not. In 2012, a delegate put his name in nomination. They booed. But it could be worse; I thought the Nevada delegate who nominated Wayne Allan Root at the same convention would be assaulted.
