Rand Paul is a guaranteed under-perform, as is Roy Blunt. Some other potential under-performers: John McCain, Ron Johnson, Todd Young (only barely), John Boozman, and whoever is nominated in Colorado.

Why is everyone so bearish on Rand? Isn't he super popular in his home state?

Most Repub incumbents will overperform Trump, except Johnson, Blunt, and maybe Paul.

Will any Dem Senate incumbents underperform Clinton? I'd say none, except possibly Murray.

I think the point is that Trump would do so well in KY that he'd have more people voting for him and voting Democratic down ticket (especially in eastern KY) than #NeverTrump Republicans voting for Hillary/Lib and down ballot GOP.

Agreed. Rand's very out of step with Kentucky politics as a whole, and the more Trumpy the GOP gets, the more this will show.  He could easily lose his next primary if he runs again.

I can't wait for the GOP to not be Trumpy post-2016, and you can finally drop this fantasy.
