I'd like to see Howard Dean become chair of the Democratic National Committee again. He pioneered fundraising over the Internet, he created the 50-state strategy which led to Barack Obama's landslide win in 2008, and he's publicly denounced the recent emails leaked from the DNC.

I think he could definitely help the Democrats win future elections, both presidential and statewide.

The way Obama tossed Dean overboard after getting elected was disgraceful.

Didn't Dean piss everyone off?

From what I've read they'll pick someone liked/loyal to Clinton

I think someone like Tom Perriello would be great.  Or maybe Gabrielle Giffords.

As much as I admire Gabby Giffords, I think even she would acknowledge she likely couldn't handle the job of DNC chair.

Just a question but why does no one seem to want Donna Brazille in the long-term? she seems decently capable.

I want someone who has ties to the Sanders campaign. We have to make peace with them, make them a part of the Democratic operation, and make the party more in line with their ideas. Howard Dean, bless his heart, is now too connected to the Democratic leadership to make that kind of peace.

I'd give Bernie the reins on that choice, so long as it isn't someone like CORNEL WEST.

Jeff Merkley or Tulsi Gabbard?

Merkley would be a very good pick, but they'll probably choose someone else.

I've heard the plan being floated is a co-chair setup with somebody who's at the DNC every day and then a sitting politician

Julian Castro said he doesn't want the job, but I could see him changing his mind. I'm sure the DNC would love to have a Latino running the show, and Castro doesn't have a lot of options unless he wants to run statewide in Texas or convinces Clinton to keep him in the Cabinet. Castro would also have a chance to build his national profile for a 2024 run. The fact that Kaine was previously a DNC chairman seems relevant.
